  Notes: Headquarters Company, 333rd Infantry, UsaCarroll would have been sent to Europe as part of the 84^th Div. and likely wouldn’t have taken part in any fighting. The first contingent of 84^th Div. arrived in France on the 25^th of Sept. 1918. The 84^th Div. was mostly used to supply other Divisions with replacements.

1919

• Nov 1918-April 1919. The 78th Division less the artillery and ammunition train was relieved by the 42d Division on November 5 and moved south to the area near Sta Menehould.  In the latter part of November, the division moved to an area in the Cote D’or with headquarters at Sem r en^Auxois. It moved to ports of embarkation in the latter part of April.⁵
