• 1^st Oct.Enrolled as a Private in the Reserve Officer Training School at University of Missouri, and assigned to Coy 4 Section A Students Army Training Corps. Recorded as a War veteran so must have served in an US Army division. Clifton’s role not clear except a student officer enrolled late in 1918. When he graduated we have no idea but must have been after the war had finished.

While Clifton doesn’t appear to have served at a US army base or go overseas etc. his draft in 12^th Sept. 1918 and subsequent training in the ROTC means he was technically in service, hence his WW1 Veterans status (see below).
