Enrolled as a Private in the Reserve Officer Training School at University of Missouri, and assigned to Coy 4 Section A Students Army Training Corps. Recorded as a War veteran so must have served in an US Army division. Clifton’s role not clear except a student officer enrolled late in 1918. When he graduated we have no idea but must have been after the war had finished.

While Clifton doesn’t appear to have served at a US army base or go overseas etc. his draft in 12th Sept. 1918 and subsequent training in the ROTC means he was technically in service, hence his WW1 Veterans status (see below).
