- 23rd Nov. Archibald joined the Officer Cadet Battalion Berkhampstead. This was a Inns of Court Officer Training battalion . Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant is an appointment held by a senior warrant officer class 2 in the British Army and Royal Marines. The RQMS is the senior assistant to the quartermaster of a regiment or battalion and also usually functions as the deputy regimental sergeant major. Some units have more than one. RQMS was a separate rank until 1915, when it became a warrant officer appointment with the creation of the rank of warrant officer class II.

Using the reference ‘breakdown’ on pages 70 & 71 of the book shows that Archibald Brown Blincow joined the Corps on 23th Nov 1915, served in ‘C’ and ‘D’ Companies and attained the rank of Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant in the Corps. He was attached to No.14 Officer Cadet Battalion and demobilized on 19th May 1919. Permanent address given 11 Greenway, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.

Archibald it seems was home-based the entire war at No 14. Officers Cadet battalion and as such doesn’t appear to have any Medal Index Card.
