The 2nd Bn Suffolks diary entry for the 23rd Sep 1918 when on this day or the 24th Sidney was wounded. This entry contains a casual remark about 14 men (Other Ranks) being casualties yet no explanation of how and why when a seemingly innocuous training was taking place The Regiment was at this time training with a sand model of Flesquieres in preparation for the attack at the Canal du Nord on 27th.
