• 5^th Jun. Drafted for Army service. Occupation Railway Trackman for New York City

1918

• 26 May. Inducted at Addison for training and joined 38th Company of the 10th Training Battalion.

• Transferred to 153 Depot Brigade to prepare for shipping to France, however, the lateness in the war of his training meant he wasn’t sent

• June. Earl was transferred to a reinforcement group of Coy D of the 346th Infantry. The 346th Were at this time in France but Earl was still stateside

• November. Transferred to a Replacement training unit but again was not posted beyond Virginia

1919

• 8 March. Discharged.
