1917

  • 7th Jan. Discharged, reason termination of his limited period of engagement.

1919

  • 18thFeb. Transferred to Class Z Army Reserves and discharged at age 53 years! When he was discharged he was still living at 40 Marlborough Rd Northampton.

MEDALS

Queens SA Medal with clasps. Richard likely earned this medal for his service in the Boer War.

No WW1 service overseas during the war, so not qualified for any medals even though his military career and service throughout the war were impeccable
