1917-1919
It seems likely that Albert re-joined the Army in Dec. 1917, his new serial number one number after Pvte. William Vickers M331609 was transferred to the ASC on 17th Dec 1917. He is found in the 1918 and 1919 absent voters list as Private, M331610 10 Mob. Coy ASC living at 9 Ingleby St. Birmingham. By 1920 electoral records Albert is no longer in the Army.
The Prefix M is for Mechanical transport and indeed the MOB. Coy seems to be a mobile unit of some sort although there wasn’t a number 10 unit so this may be recorded in error. Given his age and service, Albert may have been home-based with the ASC.
It is presumed he was discharged finally in 1919.
