The 2^ndReserve Bn. was based at Royal Engineer Headquarters and were designated to supply the 7^th Division with reserves during WW1.

1916

18^th Nov. Bert was ill while at Chatham his mental state seemingly drove him to commit suicide.¹ His gravestone is at Chatham.
