  • 8th Nov. Embarked Rimutaka at Liverpool, Disembarked Wellington 5th Jan 1920, Ted returned to his previous employer and his home address of 1 Bayfield Rd, Herne Bay.
  • It should be noted that Ted died just nine years later of TB and one wonders if this was contracted in the course of his duties.

Edwards attestation shows he was a Saddler so his assignment to NZMC, not a medical one but for Hospital Orderly, Stretcher bearer, Ambulance driver etc roles. In any event, it seems he wasn’t to see the combat zone.
